Our vision

“Europe is currently facing enormous challenges. We need to find cost-effective ways to improve our energy infrastructure, in particular to pave the way to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels and on foreign imports. We need to sustain growth and jobs to face the financial crisis and we need to improve Europe’s efforts to reduce the effects of global climate change. In addition to changing the fuel mix, and decarbonising our energy supply, saving energy is a critically important part of the solution to address these challenges. Until now the EU has not done enough to help European citizens to save energy, so we have come together to work as a united force to show that by advancing energy efficiency in Europe, in particular by supporting the deployment of existing technologies, we can rapidly achieve a healthier economy, a cleaner environment and greater energy security.”
